Rather than a summation of the year, I will look into what is about to happen in the near future.
Two big things that I hope will make your life with MEX even better.
Firstly, a new version of MEX and FleetMEX are due to drop early in the New Year. This version will have the same backbone of the old MEX systems and will be compatible with version 12 and 14 of MEX and version 5 of FleetMEX.
So, you can choose to use any version of MEX that you want to. We understand that change is always not the best thing and so we have made sure our new version is backward compatible with the older versions.
However, have a look at the new one. We will have it online soon and you can play to your heart’s content with it.
What is different in this new version? Well not much really, it is pretty much the old version in a new skin, but we have added a few little things that people have wanted and if you feel so, then use them as well.
For example, one thing that pops to mind is the fact that PM’s now accommodate A B C servicing. For example, say a car has the following servicing intervals; 3,000 km then 10,000 km, then 18,000 km then 25,000 km. Ok, I know these are a bit silly in their intervals. But as an example MEX can accommodate this easily. As this has been requested a lot and it will now be a part of the new system.
It is also completely web based, with no more reliance on Microsoft Silverlight and on top of that performance has been improved.
There are actually lots of little things that have occurred where we have tweaked and changed up things. But in essence it still looks the same, drives the same and does the same job.
This will be coming out in the first quarter of 2016, and we are currently deep into testing and have been for the last 3 months. This new version will not be released until it is ready.
Secondly, we are opening a UK office in March of 2016. This is due to the rise in the number of customers we now have spread throughout Europe, Africa and in the Middle East.
We will have a full sales and support team there, that can accommodate all of your needs for support, training and consulting on MEX and FleetMEX. With the added bonus for Australian and New Zealand customers in having extended support hours. Instead of only 9 ½ hours coverage a day we will now be offering support from 8.30 AEDT through to 2 am the next day. So, the window of support will be greatly increased in the coming year.
The office is seen as being a permanent setup, as we now service a large number of customers in different time zones and will be primarily manned by our Australian staff. We will be seconding people to the UK for periods of time, so the people you will be dealing with are all seasoned campaigners with MEX.
Lastly, I’d like to wish all our customers and Merry Christmas and a happy New Year. Don’t be too naughty!
