MEX User Licensing Explained

MEX User Licensing Explained

Is It Time to Review Your MEX User Count?

With the arrival of the new MEX Mobile App, managing maintenance in the field has never been easier. Packed with powerful features, this upgrade might mean you need to consider increasing your MEX user count to take full advantage of its capabilities.

Understanding MEX Licensing

Before making any changes, it’s important to understand how MEX licensing works. MEX licenses operate on a concurrent user basis. This means the number of users who can access the system simultaneously depends on the number of licenses you own.

For example:

  • If you have 2 licenses, up to 2 users can be logged into MEX at the same time.
  • If a third user attempts to log in, one of the original two users must first log out.

Licensing Across All Devices

There’s no need to worry about separate licenses for desktop or mobile devices. MEX licenses are shared across all device types, including:

  • Android
  • iOS
  • UWP (Universal Windows Platform)
  • Desktop computers

This unified licensing approach ensures that no matter where you’re working, you’ll be using the same pool of concurrent licenses.

Why Now?

The new MEX Mobile App enhances your ability to manage maintenance from anywhere. Whether you're in the office or on-site, having the right number of licenses ensures a seamless workflow, enabling your team to:

  • Perform tasks efficiently
  • Stay connected across devices
  • Access the system whenever and wherever needed

Need More Licenses?

If you find your team’s needs have grown or you want to make full use of the new mobile features, now is the perfect time to review your MEX user count.
