New MEX Version 15 Released November 2023

Here at MEX, we have been working hard on releasing the latest build of MEX 15 and MEX Mobile and have some exciting new enhancements to announce.

To assist our support team in better diagnosing customer issues we have added a Support Diagnostics Utility to this version. This makes it much easier to help in diagnosing and solving common MEX database issues.

Edit Mode replaces God Mode in this update. The new name better captures its purpose, without compromising on its powerful capabilities.

We also made several performance improvements in listings and detail forms across the Asset Register, Replenish Stock, Stocktakes and Purchase Orders.

There have also been several bug fixes that have gone into this release.

Work Orders

  • Asset Hierarchy now displays correctly on the Work Order Report in all situations.
  • Performance improvement in loading the Work Order Details form.
  • Closing Work Orders and opting to not add history will correctly save the Closed By contact against that Work Order.

Preventative Maintenance

  • Labour costs will now update after a trade line is deleted from a PM.
  • The popup will always appear when manually raising a Work Order from a Maintenance Policy.

Stores

  • Purchase Order lines no longer cap out at 300.
  • Reservations can no longer be issued multiple times when open in multiple windows.

Global Search

  • Global Search layout has been updated to display links better.

General

  • You can now add links to documents and open them without issue.
  • When being assisted by MEX Support, a MEX license is no longer used.
  • A web config key can now be used to remove legacy items from the MEX Hamburger Menu.

Several other bugs have also been fixed in the Reports, Custom Fields, Notifications, Timesheets, MEX Mobile and more. For a detailed breakdown of these fixes please refer to the release notes found on the MEX User Portal or in the MEX User Guide.

If you have automatic updates checked then the upgrading process will be just as you guessed it – automatic! Otherwise, you will have to contact MEX Support for details on performing the manual upgrade.

If you have any questions or any issues, please get in contact with our support department at support@mex.com.au or call +61 7 3392 4777 and they will be more than happy to help you out.
